Why Stabilization Training?

Stabilization strength is the foundation to any sport. Every time your foot lands, weight shifts on a ski or pedal, or you catch a ball, your body is quickly stabilizing joints and muscles before exploding again in the direction you'd like to go. From strong stabilization comes good form, which reduces injury risk. From strong stabilization comes power.

Stabilization is not all about balancing on one foot. It's about creating instability in joints with dynamic movements. In our strength stabilization classes we'll be working the whole body in a mostly circuit style workout. You can expect to see a range of exercises and modalities including balance work, box jumps, medicine balls, kettlebells, plyometrics, and sandbags.
